LaMM Laboratorio di Magnetismo Molecolare

Projects

The LaMM laboratory offers outstanding possibilities of international relationships since, besides the collaboration with the worlwide best chemistry and physics laboratorys involved in molecular magnets and solid state EPR spectroscopy, it is part of several research projects funded by the European Union. These projects concern the creation of networks of laboratories, the development of specific research fields, or, as the Marie Curie Training Site, the possibility for foreign PhD students to learn one or more techniques in which the host laboratory is recognised as the best at the European level.

In addition, LaMM has participated at calls for fundings at national level.

In the framework of the German Deutsche Forshungsgemeinschaft - DFG, a series of 2-year projects called “Molekularer Magnetismus”, on the synthesis and characterisation of molecular materials showing slow magnetic relaxation and magnetic memory effect, has been funded in 2001  (SPP1137-2001), 2003 (SPP1137-2003), 2005 (SPP1137-2005).

As one of the leading research group in the chemical-physical field, LaMM has succesfully participated to several Italians calls:

Moreover, a strong patnership with the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) has been established in the last 10 years and the following projects have been funded:

  • CNR Convenzione “PROMO” CNR-INSTM in 2006, 2007, and 2008
  • CNR Finanziamento Sezione ISTM of Firenze in 2007, 2008, and 2009.
