Electron Paramagnetic Resonance - W-band

Bruker Elexsys-600

Operating with a source at 95 GHz and a superconductor magnet at 6 T with split coils, high and low sensibility insert, cryostat with liquid helium-4 with operating temperature range of 4-300 K, temperature controller for scans, goniometer for single crystal measurements.

Electron Paramagnetic Resonance - X-band

E500 Elexsys Bruker

Equipped with a CF helium (4-300 K) and a CF nitrogen (100-500 K) Oxford Instruments cryostates, high sensitivity sample holder for solutions (AquaX), standard cavity and high sensitivity cavity (SHQ). It could be equipped also with an automatic goniometer for angle-dependent measurements. Parallel mode cavity is also available.


Varian E9

Equipped with an Oxford Instruments flux cryostate (4-300 K), double x-cavity, field frequency lock, cylindrical cavity, and goniometer for single crystal measurements.


High Field Electron Paramagnetic Resonance

Operating at high fields (12 T) and high frequencies (up to 1 THz).

Instrument located at Istituto dei Processi Chimico Fisici (IPCF) of CNR at Pisa.

Mossbauer Setup

MVT 1000 WissEl™

Equipped with an Oxford Instruments N2-based flux cryogenic system equipped with a temperature controller (operating in the range 2 – 300 K), with a 25 mCi 57Co in Rhodium matrix gamma ray source, and a proportional Kr-CO2 counter detector.
