Research Activity

Over the years, the scientific interests of Maria Fittipaldi are set in an interdisciplinary context that ranges from the instrumental development to biophysics, biochemistry, and condensed matter physics. Specifically she has mainly employed multifrequency EPR spectroscopy in continuous and pulsed mode to deeply study systems of biological and physical interest as proteins, semiconductors, and nanomagnets.

In more recent years, she is employing also Mössbauer spectroscopy for the characterization of magnetic materials, Fe-based systems, and proteins.

More recently she is interested in the study of spin-electric effects in molecular magnets.
